Wednesday a bit dodgy...

The forecast looks a bit too west for us at the moment which means we will be sailing upwind. The other problem is that the tide will be low during the middle of the day. We require at least 800mm of water to sail in. The Weymouth course is on a sandy shelf that extends a long way off the shore and at very low tides this can be exposed. As the days are so short, a low tide in the middle can ruin the whole day no matter what the wind is doing. Weymouth is far from ideal. The next possible window is Friday. We will continue to tweak the boat based on recent experience. We are trialling some new heat shrink films and modifying the rig uphaul system. It takes al ong time for the resin to go off these days.
Cheers, Paul.
