Missed the window.

Today was glamourous... and we missed it.
We got in to the container early and I continued building all the little fiddly bits that need to be added to make the new modifications work.... more on them later.
The weather was looking good so we got in sailing mode and headed for speed-spot.
It was a little light when we got there but then that is the right time for us to arrive.
Basically it took us too long to get established. The cameras, the anchors which assist in the launch, the RIB, the next to useless ICOM VHF comms. etc all added up to delays. It was high tide and the water was perfect. the wind was perfect and the angle was perfect.
I was seething at each delay. These days are like gold to us. we only need one or two for us to be able to open the floodgates and begin sending SAILROCKET down the course in stronger winds.
Everyone was trying their best but today it didn't get us a run.
We need to get tighter.
We need to make these days count.
The wind only built to a maximum of around 20 knots.
At times it was very tempting and we stuck around for a while to see if things would ease. they usually don't around these parts.
In the end we scraped home... literally, on a very low tide.
We will get out there earlier tomorrow.
I want 40!

Paul.

Hi Paul,
Team Philips was rushed and a ground breaking concept was lost.

Don't lose this one!

Cheers,

John Taylor

I spent all day with someone who spent all day telling me that when you chase things too hard they run away from you

I think you are going to do it any moment - hope you enjoy the journey too!!
